Peggy, having squeezed into the back seat, was right in saying everything would fit. At least at the start...What could be a better way to bring the July 4th fireworks to Italy then to pull out of the pizzeria parking lot, have the trunk swing open and have a case of red wine explode all over the street...in traffic...
Amazingly, only 2 bottles broke..that's the good news. And we now have more room in the car: )))
They were 2 bottles of Isola e Elena:(((that's the bad news.
Nonetheless, it could have been much worse. We feel blessed.
A few meters down the street we arrived under the cover of clouds, as Bellagio still sparkled across the lake.
You had one job: don't break the wine!!! Way to go.
